Download the Printer Driver

Go to the following link – Driver Download
- The Top option should read - [Windows 32bit & 64bit] Generic Plus PCL6 Printer Driver V2.90
- Click on the download link to start download the driver.

Unzip the Printer Driver
- Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder).
- Right-click on the downloaded file and select Extract All to unzip the driver files.

Add a New Printer
- Open Control Panel from your Start menu.
- Select Devices and Printers or Printers & Scanners (depends on your Windows version)
- Click on Add a printer/Add a Device at the top of the window.
- It will search for a few seconds and then the following will appear ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’ click on ‘Add Manually’

Configure Printer
- In the Find a printer by other options window, select Add a printer using a IP address or hostname, then click Next.
- Change the Device type to ‘TCP/IP Device’
- Enter your printer’s IP address (172.16.0.140) in the Hostname or IP address field.
- Uncheck the Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use option, then click Next.
- Select ‘Have Disk’ and then ‘Browse’ and find the location of the unzip driver folder from step 2.
- Locate the .inf file from the unzipped folder and choose ‘Open’ and then ‘OK’
- It will then display ‘Canon Generic Plus PCL6’ in the Printers window
- Follow the remaining prompts to finish adding your printer.

Test Your Printer
- Once your printer is installed, you should do a test print to make sure everything is working correctly.
